The hallway creaked under their feet as Obsidius and Kym continued down the dimly lit corridor. The leaden door groaned open with each step they took, but they refused to budge from its grasp. Kym’s grip tightened further, her knuckles turning white. Could she feel the weight of fear in his unyielding eyes? "What's next?" Obsidius asked, voice trembling. Kym’s heart pounded as she searched for answers. Her mind raced with possibilities and doubts.
They had been here before, but something was different this time—something terrifying. "Let’s find out,"Kym said, her resolve firm despite the terror gnawing at her insides. As they walked, their footsteps echoed off every wall, growing louder each moment. The shadows on the walls twisted and shifted, casting strange shapes that seemed to move of their own accord. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the door came to a stop. It was sealed tight, its handle frozen in place. They pushed with all their strength, but it wouldn’t budge. Kym’s grip tightened as she looked past Obsidius into the darkness that awaited them beyond the closed door.
The silence was oppressive, and her heart pounded wildly within her chest. "Are you sure this is safe?" Obsidius asked, his voice barely a whisper. Kym couldn’t answer. Her mind spun with thoughts of betrayal and danger. She didn’t know what to do or how far she could go without getting caught in the Blue Box’s grasp. They turned back, the door now open just enough for them to squeeze through, their footsteps echoing as they stepped into a room filled with strange objects—books, artifacts, and a few twisted, grotesque statues. Kym felt the weight of Oblivion crush her chest, her mind fogging in confusion. Obsidius took a deep breath, trying to make sense of everything around him.
"Where is this?" he asked, voice hoarse with fear. Kym pushed past Obsidius, her hand instinctively reaching out for a nearby bookshelf. She could feel the weight of Oblivion pressing down on her chest, but she refused to let it consume her completely. "This place is insane," she muttered, trying to clear her mind. Obsidius took another deep breath, his voice steadier now. He looked around the room, taking in everything he could see: books with titles like “The End” and “Aftermath of Despair,” artifacts that seemed to have been crafted from the very essence of despair itself, twisted statues that defied logic and reason. He stepped forward, but stopped short when a door at the far end of the room creaked open. Obsidius took another step, his core pounding in his chest as he saw what was inside: a small, blue box with no visible label or design on it.
The box was slightly tilted to one side, and the air around it seemed to hum softly. "Blue Box,"Obsidius whispered, eyes darting back and forth between the door and the mysterious box. Kym’s hold tightened on her arm as she watched him approach the blue box. She could feel his dread growing with each step he took towards it, but there was something about the room that made her want to push through and see what lay inside. "Obsidius,"Kym called out softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "What is this?" Obsidius stopped just short of reaching for the box, his eyes locked on Kym’s face. "I—I don’t know," he whispered back, his voice shaking slightly.
