Obsidius Nyxofcuckoo - Whispers at Midnight Ch196: What Secret Haunt VIDEO

The air shifted, and a low hum vibrated against Obsidius' eardrums as Lila's breath hitched beside him in Blackwood Manor's dimly lit corridor. The stone walls loomed close around them, cold fingers pressing into his spine with each whisper that brushed past their ears from somewhere unseen but unmistakable. Previously on Obsidius Nyxofcuckoo: Kym Muryer had warned of the Blue Box's true nature; it was not merely an artifact but a gateway to something ancient within this very manor. A thing made neither skin nor absence slithered between Lila and Jack, its form shifting like smoke under pressure until nothing remained except for void where memory should have been carved. It did not move as much as drift, a presence without substance or purpose other than observation. The air thickened further around them as though reality itself paused before unfolding in some new way.
In the distance, Elena's voice echoed faintly through cracks in Blackwood Manor, "We're getting close," she called out into thin space, her words barely audible over the low hum of machinery from somewhere unknown yet undeniable: it was akin to something vast stirring awake beneath their feet. Obsidius turned slowly toward his spectral guide; Lila's eyes flickered between him and that shifting shadow now hovering inches away at chest level. Her grip tightened on Jacks' hand, he could feel its trembling even under gloves. "What is this?" She whispered hoarsely, breath visible against the chill air. Jack replied softly without turning fully towards them, "The still wall." His voice carried a weighty silence behind it, memories not just forgotten but erased entirely by some ancient echo in stone. The thing did nothing more than observe, a presence too thin for touch or sound yet palpable enough to fill their lungs with tension as they held each other tighter amidst encroaching darkness of Blackwood Manor's labyrinthine corridors.
Elena's footsteps approached from further down the hall, and closer now that she had taken note of Jack and Lila standing motionless beside one another like figures carved into this very manor itself, relics left over long after time forgot what purpose once bound them here together under Obsidius' gaze: "What did you find?" Her voice was a whisper against reality; it seemed stretched along space as if trying not be heard at all amid these walls so thick secrets were contained within. As Elena stepped still, too close for comfort given presence lingering between Jack and Lila, a sudden shift occurred around her, the air grew heavier with ozone tang filling nostrils just before reaching out towards something invisible pressing down upon both from above. It wasn't until then that Obsidius realized he had been standing almost directly beneath an unseen ceiling vent humming softly under pressure, it resembled the kind of hum one might expect in machinery deep underground or perhaps somewhere far beyond Blackwood Manor's physical boundaries where time moved differently than among living beings caught up inside those very halls.
